ABOUT

Writer, editor, storyteller and freelancer based in Washington, D.C., and writing coach at DIYMFA.com whose fiction works are housed mainly in the speculative genre, and whose freelance projects span multiple genres and industries. She has completed and begun querying her first novel project that explores, through the lens of a failing utopia, what happens when society gives in to its fear of “the other.” In the fall of 2016, she was one of 16 selected to participate in the Jenny McKean Moore Free Community Workshop at the George Washington University, entered her first flash fiction competition with NYC Midnight in late 2017, advancing to the third round, and in the fall of 2022, was long-listed for the Gotham Writers Publish A Book Scholarship.

Previously a writer/editor at a D.C. communications firm, she has drafted and edited sponsored and organic content for top-tier academic institutions, Fortune 500 companies and leading philanthropic organizations that has run in The Washington PostUSA Today and the Atlantic. As a freelancer she has written for the Hopkins Bloomberg Public Health Magazine, been a writing coach to several small groups of writers and is currently gearing up to copyedit a client’s non-fiction book project.
